The state company that manages Romania’s road infrastructure – CNAIR finalized on Thursday, April 26, the repairs on the A2 highway connecting the capital Bucharest to the Black Sea port of Constanta and the seaside.

CNAIR repaired about 6,000 sqm of road between April 1 and April 26. The cost was RON 204,000 (EUR 44,000).

The segment that needed the most repairs was the one between Bucharest and Fundulea, where the road surface is poor and needs constant repairs.

CNAIR plans to start a bigger rehabilitation program of the A2 highway this fall. The work will take place in stages over a period of three years and the total costs will amount to some RON 100 million (EUR 21.5 million).
