Chinese company builds brick factory in Romania's Constanta

Chinese – owned Golden Way Development is developing a EUR 15 million brick factory in Romania, in Constanta county, through its subsidiary Long Wall Brick, according to Sorin Va­silescu, head of the foreign investments department within the country's Economy Ministry.

The Chinese investors have a 35,000 sqm land plot on concession for the project. This Chinese project joins investors such as bike producer DHS Sport, scooter and motorbikes assembly unit Rich Sport, as well as the China Town retail complex in Afumati, near Bucharest.

Trade between Romania and China reached USD 4 billion last year, mostly represented by Romania's imports from China, which have doubled in the last six years.
