China Town Romania starts works on the second phase

Works on the second stage of the China Town Romania real estate project, which should reach a value of EUR 50 million, will start on August 17. This phase of works should be finalized in 2013, according to the Chinese- Romanian Chamber of Commerce.

So far, the first areas with showroom spaces have been finalized, and three areas will be completed by February 2011. In total, 1,240 stores will be included in the retail area.

China Town Romania was created through the association of several Chinese business people, with the total value of the investment expected to reach EUR 100 million. The project will include residential, retail and offices. The project will be built in Afumati, on Bucharest – Urziceni St no. 17.

Most of major cities in the world have their own China Town  areas, where the Chinese community usually lives and where Chinese food and products can be bought. (in picture, an image from Chinatown London, via Wikipedia)
