CEE managers plan to raise salaries to keep good employees

Managers in the Central and Eastern Europe plan to raise salaries in 2015 to retain good employees, as qualified and motivated staff is vital for business sustainability, according to the KPMG report “Pulse of Economy 2014,” cited by local Mediafax.

About 69% of the interviewed managers said they plan to increase salaries, with 50% of them saying the increase will be limited to 5%. 27% of the interviewed Romanian managers plan an increase over 5%, while 43% do not plan any salaries’ changes.

Retaining good employees is the key aspect that receives the highest support among different countries (69%), followed by productivity growth (61%) and cutting the cost base (47%).
