16 June 2023

From July 8 to 14, Caffe Festival EUROPAfest invites jazz lovers to jam sessions with established artists and rising talents from Romania and abroad, as well as jazz workshops with industry professionals.

Artists from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Israel, Poland, the USA, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Japan, Ukraine, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, and Romania will hold late-night concerts during the seven-day event. Meanwhile, the workshops will take place during the day.

“Caffe Festival provides a space for relaxation and a friendly atmosphere, with the desire to bring the audience closer to good music and expand the circle of jazz consumers. The activities held at the Auditorium Hall will provide hours of indulgence to those who have chosen to escape the everyday routine,” reads the press release.

Among those who will conduct jazz workshops are Steve Wright from Australia, a percussionist with over thirty years of experience in the music industry, interpreting a wide range of musical styles such as jazz, blues, funk, and musical theatre; Svetoslav Nikolov from Bulgaria, Director of Jazz FM Sofia, who has founded and organized several jazz festivals in Bulgaria; and Peter Autschbach from Germany, a versatile artist who composes, performs, conducts workshops, writes books and manuals, and goes on international tours.

Caffe Festival EUROPAfest is a cultural project co-financed by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
