Bucharest Stock Exchange, Communication Ministry organize workshops for IT startups

08 February 2016

The Bucharest Stock Exchange and the Communication Ministry signed a protocol on Friday to support startups in the IT&C sector.

They will launch a series of programs that will bring the entrepreneurs closer to the capital market.

The authorities will organize a six-week program this spring with six workshops where local companies in the IT&C sector will get a chance to present their business in front of the investors. In total, 60 companies in the IT&C sector will learn how to get financing other than from banks.

The Bucharest Stock Exchange launched a platform dedicated to startups and SMEs last year, the AeRO, and organized seminars throughout the country to get smaller companies to present their businesses in front of potential investors. However, the number of new companies listed on the AeRO market has been low.
