Bucharest Jewish Film festival to kick off third edition at end of October

A new edition of the Jewish Film Festival will take place between October 20 and 24 in Bucharest at the studio Horia Bernea within the Romanian Peasant Museum and the cinema Elvira Popescu.

The film The Garden of Eden directed by Ran Tal, who won the best director award at the Jerusalem International Film Festival — Israel in 2012 will be screened in the opening of the festival.

This third edition of the festival will include a large selection of films, from documentaries to comedies focusing on contemporary social topics. The festival will also feature workshops and conferences on Jewish themes. Films such as In the Shadow, The World is Funny and By Summer's End will also be screened during the festival.

Entry to the event is free of charge, except for the opening gala, where an invitation is required. The full schedule is here.
