Bucharest hosts cycling competition for corporate teams this June

The fourth edition of the Skoda Velo Challenge, a cycling event for corporate teams, will take place in Bucharest on June 14.

Under the motto “Teams, go for gold!” the competition will be held in the Baneasa forest in northern Bucharest. Over 100 teams are expected to take part in the event. The race starts in front of the Police Academy.

Skoda Velo Challenge is a relay race split into three categories, namely male, female and mix. Each team will have four competitors. Within four hours, the team will have to cover a total distance of 40 km. It will start at 09,00 and end at 14,00 with the awards ceremony, which will be followed by a bike expo and test area, and by a party until 18,00.

The registration form can be found on the event’s Facebook page. Each company can register as many teams as it wants. The registration fee is of RON 100 plus VAT per participant.

Between 2011 and 2013, over 1,200 participants from more than 100 companies competed in the event.
