British company moves production lines from Germany to Romania

18 November 2015

British company TT Electronics, which makes electronic parts for the car, aerospace, defense and medical sectors, has completed the transfer of ten production lines from Germany to Timisoara, western Romania.

The cost of the transfer amounts to EUR 35.6 million, EUR 7 million less than the initial estimation, as the number of lines transferred is also lower, reports local Profit.ro.

The transfer of the first production line has been completed in January last year. Next year, the company will move another two production lines to Romania by mid-2016 and will keep four production lines in Germany.

TT Electronics currently has over 350 employees in Romania. The number will grow to 500 by the end of the next year.
