Writer Andrew Solomon, which in 2002 was among the finalists for the Pulitzer Prize with his book The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression, will meet Romanian readers on Friday, June 13, for a debate on the book. The event will take place at 19,00, at the Humanitas bookshop near Cismigiu Park in Bucharest, reports local Mediafax.

Mircea Cartarescu, Leslie Hawke, Corina Suteu and Vlad Mixich will also attend the event.

Andrew Solomon is a writer and lecturer on politics, culture and psychology, born in New York in 1963. His book The Noonday Demon: An Atlas of Depression won the 2001 National Book Award for Nonfiction, was a finalist for the 2002 Pulitzer Prize, and was included in The Times of London‘s list of one hundred best books of the decade.
