Amethyst Radiotherapy invests EUR 10 mln in medical center in Romania

Amethyst Radiotherapy, a company that operates a network of radiotherapy centers, invested EUR 10 million in opening a medical center in Cluj, Romania. The money was invested in equipment and training medical staff, reports local Ziarul Financiar.

The center’s medical team is led by Gabriel Kacso, a radiotherapy and medical oncology doctor.

“In Romania, the death rate caused by cancer exceeds the European average due to late diagnosis and lack of proper treatment,” said Ema Diea, Chief Executive Officer at Amethyst Radiotherapy Romania.
