The registration period for the 2017 Diversity Visa Program conducted by the US Department of State starts on Thursday, October 1, at 12:00 PM EDT (7:00 PM Bucharest time), and ends on November 3.

The program, which is better known as the visa lottery, offers 50,000 permanent visas to people want to immigrate to the US. Millions apply for this program worldwide and the winners are randomly selected.
