Two historic buildings in Bucharest’s Old Town will be revamped with a total of RON 3.76 million (EUR 846,000). Bucharest's municipality will cover the investments.

Bucharest's General Council recently approved the funds necessary for revamping the two buildings.

One of the two properties dates since 1875 and is located on Blanari Street. Its rehabilitation costs some RON 2 million (EUR 450,000) and should finalize in 2 years, reports local Hotnews.ro. The building is included in the first class of seismic risk, which means that it could collapse at a stronger earthquake.

The other property is located on Splaiul Independentei street and has two floors. The City Hall plans to revamp and expand it with two more floors. The cost of the construction work stands at RON 1.76 million (some EUR 396,000).
