Six Romanian companies in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe

Romanian software producer I.T.N.T. was the fourth fastest growing technology company in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region in the last five years, with a whooping  1,433% increase in turnover - or 15-fold - over the last five years, according to Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe ranking for 2014.

A total of six Romanian companies were selected by Deloitte in this year’s ranking, which includes companies in the technology sector that had the highest growth rates over five years. Romania has had six representatives in the ranking in each of the last four editions of the ranking and the highest ever total was seven companies, in the 2010 edition.

Romania’s fastest growing technology business in the last five years was I.T.N.T., which is the developer and owner of www.soft32.com, an international software distribution platform which facilitates the distribution and sales of apps for Windows, Mac and Mobile. The company was founded by Romanian entrepreneur Lucian Todea in 2003. In 2013, the company had a turnover of almost EUR 7 million, 15 times higher compared to 2008.

The second Romanian firm in Deloitte’s ranking, on 27th, is software producer Softelligence, with a 459% increase in turnover over the last five years. It is followed by Life is Hard SRL, a software developer from Cluj-Napoca, which increased its business by 453%.

IT&C integrator Teamnet International is next, on 34th, with a 424% increase in turnover. Teamnet is the largest Romanian company in the Fast 50 ranking, with a turnover of EUR 63.6 million in 2013. Teamnet is also one of the five biggest companies in the Deloitte ranking. The company has been appearing in this ranking for the last seven years.

The two other Romanian companies are IT outsourcing provider Fortech, on 37th, and Trencadis, a local supplier of e-government solutions, web portals and custom software, on 42nd.

Poland has the biggest number of companies in Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 in Central Europe, 17, followed by Hungary, with 10 companies. The fastest growing company in this year’s ranking is Szallas.hu, an internet business which sells accommodation in Hungary and Central Europe.
