Romania's Tax Authority to check restaurants during New Year's Eve parties

08 December 2015

Romania’s Tax Authority ANAF will check the restaurants which organize New Year’s Eve parties in the whole country between December 31, 2015 and January 5, next year.

The inspectors will control if the units register all the amounts collected. They will first analyze what kind of packages the local restaurants offer for the New Year’s Eve parties.

ANAF has just completed another control operation called Cristal. Tax inspectors have issued fines of almost EUR 5 million during the controls carried out at wholesale trade centers between mid-October and the beginning of December. The inspectors closed 230 companies out of a total number of 3,350 units checked, for not having cash registers.
