Romania’s new President Klaus Iohannis launches autobiography at book fair this week

Romania’s new President-elect Klaus Iohannis will officially launch his autobiography Step by Step (Pas cu Pas) this week. Klaus Iohannis, who has been serving as mayor of Sibiu in the last 14 year, won the presidential elections on Sunday, November 16, beating Prime Minister Victor Ponta by a wide margin.

His book will be launched on Wednesday, November 19, 17:30, at Curtea Veche Publishing’s stand at the Gaudeamus International Book Fair. The launching event will also include a book signing session, according to Iohannis’ Facebook page.

In the 200-page book, Iohannis presents several moments of his life, speaking about childhood, adolescence, his wife and sister, about the time when he was a student in Cluj-Napoca, as well as about his career in education.

The book is available online at curteaveche.ro and will also be available for sale at Curtea Veche Publishing’s stand at the fair (in Romanian for the moment), for RON 15 (EUR 3.4).

Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair will be organized at Romexpo, in Bucharest, between November 19 and November 23.
