Romania’s mici to be exported in the EU from June, minister says

23 May 2014

Romania can start exporting its popular minced meat dish called mici to the EU market from early-June this year, right after the greenlight to use additives in the mici will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union, Agriculture Minister Daniel Constantin told local news agency Agerpres.

“The European regulation allowing the use of additives in the preparation of mici, namely sodium bicarbonate and carmine, will be published in the first days of June in the Official Journal of the European Union. Thus, the Romanian mici have no other problem and can be exported to the EU,” he said.
