Romanian energy producer Hidroelectrica plans to sell 27 micro hydro power plants with a total installed power of 20.3 MW during auctions to be organized this autumn. The auctions will take place between September 15 and September 18, according to a statement of the company.

The power plants are located in nine counties in Romania, namely Suceava, Brasov, Hunedoara, Neamt, Sibiu, Bacau, Maramures, Arad and Arges.

In order to participate in the auction, bidders must submit the documents of participation until September 3, 2014.

In previous phases, starting July 2013, a total of 21 micro hydro power plants were sold for the total price of some EUR 15.7 million, according to the company.

The Romanian state is the majority shareholder of Hidroelectrica. The company re-entered insolvency in February this year.
