Romania's carmaker Dacia tops 600,000 cars sold on the French market

Romanian carmaker Dacia, which is part of the French Renault group, sold more than 600,000 cars in France since launching the Logan model, in 2005, according to an announcement from Renault.

During this period, Dacia sold 232,000 units from the Sandero model, 150,000 Duster SUVs, 100,000 Logan MCV and 57,000 Logan.

“In the first four months in 2014, Dacia became the fourth auto brand on the French market. The Sandero model is the best sold passenger car in France,” Renault mentioned.

In Romania, the Dacia car plant in Mioveni, Arges, recently announced it reached 5 million vehicles built since it went into production in 1968. In 2013, Dacia’s sales reached EUR 4.48 billion, more than 90 percent from exports.
