Romania’s beer market up 2% in seven months
Romania’s beer market increased by 2% as volume in the first seven months of this year compared to the same period in 2016, according to the “Brewers of Romania” Association.
The evolution has been positive, but moderate, association’s general director Julia Leferman said.
The sector has a contribution of over EUR 530 million to the state budget. Moreover, the local brewing sector generates an added value of EUR 860 million in the related fields of activity.
A Romanian has to work 22 minutes to buy a liter of beer while a German has to work only 8 minutes and a Dutch 9 minutes, Leferman added.
