Romanian wine producers to get EUR 48 mln EU funds until 2018

Romanian wine producers will be able to access non-refundable funds from the European Union worth EUR 47.7 million from 2014 to 2018.

They will be able to use this money to restructure or reconvert vineyards and to promote their wine brands in the EU and in countries outside the EU, according to Wall-Street.ro.

In the 2009-2013 period, Romania’s wine sector benefited from EUR 42.1 million EU funds which were fully absorbed. Some of the largest producers on Romania’s EUR 400 million wine market are Murfatlar, Cotnari, Jidvei and Cramele Recas.
