Romanian song of the week: Women by The Mono Jacks

31 October 2011

We've just listened to a new song by Romanian band The Mono Jacks. Their new single called “Women” will be included on the band’s future material “Fortunes” that will be launched early-December.

The Mono Jacks also launched the video of the new “Women” single, the first video of the band. You can watch it below.

The Romania band The Mono Jacks is composed of Doru Trascau (voice and quitar), Florin Vasile (quitar and back-voice), Alex Voicu (bass) and Dorian Cazacu (drums). The Mono Jacks had the very first show in late 2008, while in 2010 the band made to the top of the alternative charts with its first debut singles, “Maria”, "Come Back Girl”, and “Push the pedal”. Their post-rock rhythms with visible traces of '90s alternative and the band's contagious live chemistry are responsible for some of the best concerts on Bucharest's music scene.

The band’s digital edition of the “Now in Stereo” debut album was released in March 2011. Find more about the band here.
