Romanian gypsy music band Fanfare Ciocarlia return home for tour in October

Multiple award winning Romanian brass band Fanfare Ciocarlia will return home this autumn for a national tour.

The 12 member band’s fast rhythms and unmissable live show will be on at Casa de Cultura a Sindicatelor in Pitesti on October 21, 2013.

The next day (October 22) the band will go on stage at Casa de Cultura a Sindicatelor in Ramnicu Valcea.

Following the Pitesti and Ramnicu Valcea gigs, the tour will continue in:

October 23 - Timisoara, Filarmonica

October 24 - Cluj Napoca, Casa de Cultura a Studentilor

October 25 - Iasi, Casa de Cultura a Studentilor

October 26 - Bacau, Sala Radu Beligan

October 27 - Constanta, Casa de Cultura a Sindicatelor

The band, based in the village of Zece Prajini in Iasi county, in north eastern Romania, is known as the fastest brass band in the world and was discovered in 1996 by a Berlin based sound engineer.

After performing for 16 years on some of the greatest stages in the world and conquering audiences in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Japan, the band has won acclaim throughout the world.

In 2012, the Romanian gypsy music band was invited to perform at the Nobel Prize Ceremony in Oslo, an event which confirmed their international recognition.
