Romanian drug store chain aims for 50% sales increase
Romanian pharmacy chain Farmacia Tei aims to increase its sales by 50% this year, to over EUR 36 million.
The group, which includes two drug stores branded Farmacia Tei and a baby product store called Bebe Tei, as well as online stores for each of the brands, had sales of EUR 24 million in 2014.
The turnover increase will come from online sales and from the Bebe Tei network expansion with new stores. The group already announced that it will open a new 2,000 sqm Bebe Tei store in Sun Plaza mall, in Bucharest.
“We aim to reach EUR 25 million sales with Farmacia Tei (from EUR 18.7 million in 2014 – e.n.) and to double the sales of the Bebe Tei chain to EUR 11 million,” said the company’s representatives, cited by local Wall-street.ro.
Online sales will also contribute to the group’s growth. Farmacia Tei and Bebe Tei currently sell about EUR 500,000 worth of products via the online platform each month.
