Romanian company works on the world’s largest road bridge

Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP), controlled by Romanian businessman Gabriel Comănescu, participates with a crane in the construction of the largest road bridge in the world, which will be built over the Bosphorus Strait in Turkey, reports local Gandul.info. The project’s value is evaluated at USD 3 billion.

The GSP Neptun maritime crane was engaged in this project by Hyundai Engineering & Steel Industries, the manufacturer of the bridge’s side towers, the decks and the suspension cables.

The crane can lift up to 1,800 tons and is operated by 14 Romanian employees.

The bridge will have a total length of 2.1 km and will be inaugurated in late-October 2015.
