Romanian ceramic blocks manufacturer sees higher turnover, expands capacity with new production line

26 September 2014

Romanian manufacturer of ceramic blocks Cemacon increased turnover by 41% in the first half of the year, compared to the same period in 2013, while its sales revenues went up 35%. The company registered a net profit of RON 2.27 million (over EUR 0.5 million) in the first six months.

Cemacon is also revamping the production line in Zalau, Romania, according to a statement of the company. From early-2015, the company’s Evoceramic products will be produced at the factory in Recea, Salaj county, as well as at the optimized production line in Zalau factory, which was put into operation in 2007 and has been under conservation in the last three years, due to the declining construction market. Following the re-opening of the plant in Zalau, the company will create 65 new jobs.

This measure was taken because this year, the factory in Recea reached the maximum production capacity, according to the company.

Cemacon is a producer of building material, founded in 1969 in Zalau, Romania.
