Romania wins three gold medals at European Karate Championship in Verona

Romania’s athletes won three gold medals at the European Championship organized by the World Union of Karate-do Federations WUKF at the Sports Hall in Verona, Italy, according to local news agency Agerpres.

All three Romanian athletes who competed in the first day of the competition, on Thursday evening (June 12), namely Eva Kerekes, Florin Ionita and Florin Curileac, won the continental champions titles of in the veterans section.

In the following days, children, juniors and seniors will compete for a place on the podium.

The Romanian Federation of Karate WKC is represented by 120 athletes at the 2014 European Championship organized by WUKF in Verona until June 15.
