Romania to make EUR 158 mln from ‘green stamp’
Romania’s Environment Fund Administration estimates revenues of RON 705 million (some EUR 158 million) this year from the environmental tax for cars, also known as the ‘green stamp’.
It will also cash in some RON 19 million (EUR 4.2 million) from the RON 0.1 eco-tax applied for plastic bags. Retailers collect this tax from consumers.
The Environment Fund Administration has budgeted total revenues of RON 1.1 billion (EUR 247 million) for 2015.
The figures appear in a note of a draft Government Decision to approve revenues and expenditures for 2015, cited by local Capital.ro.
