Romania organizes new fiscal lottery draw. Which are the winning receipts?

17 August 2015

Romania organized the second monthly draw for its fiscal receipt lottery on Sunday, August 16. The winning receipts are the ones issued on July 23, with a value of RON 364.

Those who own one or more winning fiscal receipts have 30 days to claim the prize. They can do so by submitting the tax receipt in original, a copy of the ID card, and an application at any unit of the tax administration ANAF.

If the total number of potential winners exceeds 100, there will be a second draw that will establish the final winners. This measure was taken after the first fiscal lottery draw ended with too many winners and a very small prize.

The lottery offers total prizes of RON 1 million (some EUR 225,000), which will be equally split between the 100 winning fiscal receipts, validated by ANAF.

The Finance Ministry launched the fiscal lottery to encourage consumers to ask for fiscal receipts and keep them. The first occasional draw was organized on April 13, and was followed by a second one on June 28. The first monthly draw took place on July 19.
