Romania invests over EUR 100 mln in 52 sports facilities

Romania will invest EUR 103 million in 52 sports facilities by 2017.  Of the 52 facilities, 18 are destined for professional sport, with a EUR 85.7 million investment and 34 for amateur sport – a EUR 17.2 million investment, reports local Wall-street.ro.

Professional sports projects include five sports compounds built from the ground up or upgraded, six halls, six swimming pools and an ice skating rink.

Minister of Regional Development Liviu Dragnea and Minister of Youth and Sports Gabriela Szabo recently signed an agreement for these projects, which will benefit some 3.9 million people.
