The seventh edition of Dynamite Days, the largest skydiving event in Romania and the biggest such festival in Eastern Europe, takes place at the Clinceni airfield near Bucharest between May 20 and May 24.

Sports champions and skydiving professionals from around the world are expected at the event.

“Licensed skydivers have the chance to train with instructors known worldwide: world champion Will Penny (South Africa), Petter Jonsson (Sweden), Ty Baird (Australia), Micah Couch (Dubai), Inka Tiitto, Ode Siivonen (Finland), Simone Favata – the instructor of the first 4-way team in Romania, and many others,” said Bogdan Boeru, co-founder TNT Brothers, the organizer of the event.

The program includes spectacular jumps and skydiving demonstrations, music, themed parties, movie screenings and parties with DJs.

The entry at the festival is free of charge. A photo-video tandem parachute jump costs RON 850 (some EUR 190) between May 20 and May 22, and RON 1,000 (EUR 225) on May 23 and May 24.

1,500 parachute jumps were made during last year’s edition of the event. Moreover, 19 skydivers established a record after forming a star during a free fall from 4,000 meters. The 2014 edition of the festival gathered 200 licensed skydivers from Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Norway, Canada, Spain, France, Italy, USA, UAE, Sweden and South Africa.
