Gaetan Pacton (in picture) is the new operational manager of discount retailer Profi in Romania, the company has announced. Pacton, with ten years of experience in retail, has previously worked with Carrefour Romania. Profi Rom Food's general manager is Pawel Musial.

Profi, owned by Enterprise Investors, has recently opened the largest store in its network, on Libertatii boulevard, near the Parliament Palace in Bucharest. The new store covers 1,000 sqm.

Profi runs 89 stores across Romania, making it the third largest discounter in the country based on the number of stores, after Penny Market and Plus. Other competitors on the discounter niche are Minimax Discount and Kaufland.
