Polish LPP makes EUR 1.5 mln in Romania from Reserved, Cropp, House stores in first quarter

Polish clothing retailer LPP, which runs 12 stores in Romania, posted sales of some EUR 1.5 million in Romania in the first quarter of this year, after ending 2013 with a turnover of EUR 6.4 million (or some PLN 27 million), according to its most recent report.

The sales value for 2013 was PLN 2 million more than in 2012 – or some EUR 480,000.

The turnover in Romania, where LPP runs stores under the brands Reserved, Cropp Town and House, was comparable to the one in Bulgaria in 2013. Its home market Poland brought it ten times higher sales than in Romania. Its second largest market was Russia, with some EUR 190 million in sales for 2013.

In the first quarter of 2014, the Polish retailer sold products worth EUR 1.5 million in Romania, bringing only 0.7 percent of the group’s total sales. Poland and Russia were again the retailer’s main markets, with the highest sales, similarly to in 2013.

LPP has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2001 and is headquartered in Gdansk. It currently runs five clothing brands, Reserved, Cropp, House, Mohito and Sinsay, with shops across Central and Eastern Europe.
