Romanian president Traian Basescu, who is on an official visit to the US, has reportedly met US president Barack Obama, according to Romanian TV station Realitatea, quoting sources in the Romania's President's delegation. Basescu has met Obama at the White House, according to media reports. However, the meeting was not included in Obama's official schedule (posted here), but in Vice President Joe Biden's (posted here).

Basescu's official announcement about the Washington official visit didn't include details either on whether he would meet Obama, nor an official schedule of meetings for the Washington trip. Obama's agenda for the 13th of September included a trip to Columbus, Ohio. Before leaving to Ohio, Obama was set to meet his senior advisers and the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the Oval Office.

Soon after this meeting, Clinton was expected to sign the anti-missile shield treaty with Romania's Exterior Minister Teodor Baconschi. More about this here.
