Healthcare group Medicover, which includes Medicover Romania and Synevo Romania, recorded a turnover of EUR 55 million in Romania in the first nine months of this year, up 19.3% year-on-year.

By comparison, Medicover saw a turnover of EUR 46.1 million in Romania between January and September last year.

The group, which is listed on the Stockholm bourse, recorded a total turnover of EUR 427.5 million in the first nine months of this year, up 17.2% year-on-year.

“We are still witnessing a steady development of markets in Poland and Romania, where we are experiencing a significant demand for the services we offer and we don’t estimate major changes in market conditions," Fredrik Ragmark, Medicover CEO, said.

Medicover Romania acquired the Iowemed healthcare network in the third quarter of this year.

“I am very pleased with Romania's contribution to Medicover's results, as we have reached the historic threshold of 1 million members,” Medicover Romania general manager Adrian Peake said.
