Fast-food chain McDonald's wants to double the number of its cafes in Romania by the end of 2015, targeting a total of 20 units. Four of them are scheduled for opening this year in Bucharest, Ploiesti and Targu Mures, reports local Mediafax. The company is also looking for land to expand the restaurant chain, as it hasn’t opened any new unit this year.

McDonald's entered the Romanian market in 1995 with a restaurant located in Unirii Square, Bucharest, and currently runs a network of 67 restaurants across the country. Last year, its turnover totalled EUR 94.8 million, up some 6% year-on-year.
