Legendary British rock band Deep Purple back to Romania for concert in 2014

Legendary British rock band Deep Purple will again play in Romania next year.

The concert will be organized at Sala Polivalenta in Bucharest, on February 20, 2014.

Deep Purple was formed 45 years ago, back in 1968. Together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath they are considered to be heavy metal pioneers.

The band went through several name and lineup changes, managing to shape their musical identity in early 70s, with the release of Deep Purple In Rock.

Fireball and Machine Head followed in the next two years. Machine Head was released in 1972 and was one of the band’s most popular albums, coming first in the British rankings.

The current members of the band are Ian Gillian - vocals, harmonica, percussion, Steve Morse - guitar, Roger glover - bass, Ian Paice - drums, percussion, Don Airey - organ, keyboards.

Tickets for the gig in Bucharest cost between RON 95 and RON 265 and can be purchased online here. In the following period, tickets will also be put for sale in Diverta and Muzica stores, Mihai Eminescu library and Sala Palatului.
