Franz Rattenstetter (in picture) returns to the helm of the five-star hotel Crown Plaza in Bucharest, after having headed the unit between 2001 and 2007. Rattenstetter is the new GM of the hotel in the portfolio of Ana Hotels, a company owned by Romanian businessman George Copos.
Murat Kazaz is the new CEO and executive board member of real estate developer Anchor Grup in Romania. The real estate company owns Bucuresti Mall, Plaza Romania shopping centers in Bucharest, the InCity Residence and the Anchor Plaza office building in Bucharest, as well as MallDova mall in Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova.
The fourth edition of the B'Estfest music festival in Romania will take place between July 1 and 3 this year. The organizers have confirmed Pendulum and Skunk Anansie among the festival's headliners this year.
Romanian national gas transport company Transgaz made a profit of EUR 87.3 million last year, an increase of 23 percent on the previous year. The company's turnover advanced by 10.5 percent, to EUR 311.6 million.

Fewer Romanian companies suspended their activity in January this year compared to the same month in 2010, which could be one of the signs of incipient economic revival. The number of companies that stopped activity went down by 55.7 percent, to around 2,600, compared to the same month last year, according to the National Trade Registry (ONRC).
