Italian home appliances manufacturer to hire 170 staff in Romania

DeLonghi, the Italian manufacturer of home appliances, wants to hire 170 people in its Jucu factory, in the Cluj County, and recently organized a recruitment event.

"We plan to hire 170 people from the surrounding areas of Jucu whom we will offer free transport to the factory. The job interview took place on Wednesday. Currently, the DeLonghi factory in Jucu employs 900 people," said Luminita Todor, personal recruitment specialist within DeLonghi Romania, cited by local Mediafax.

DeLonghi bought in 2012 the Nokia factory within the Tetarom Industrial Park III in Jucu, Cluj County and announced that it would employ between 600 and 1,000 people.

In early 2013, the company began producing household espresso machines. The company's investment in the Tetarom III Industrial Park amounts to about EUR 30 million.
