Italian group opens network of cardiology clinics in Romania

24 February 2016

The Italian group Policlinico di Monza wants to open a network of cardiology clinics in the major cities in Romania.

Each unit requires an investment of EUR 2 million.

The group opened the cardiology hospital Monza in Bucharest three years ago, following a EUR 40 million investment. Since then, the group has invested EUR 6 million more in adding new specialties. The hospital has reached break-even in October 2015, said Luca Militello, the general director of the hospital, cited by local Profit.ro.

The investments in the next three years will be outside the hospital. Each of the new units will create some 30-40 jobs. The centers will work with medical collaborators, who are already known in the market.

Monza plans to become one of the top 3 players in Romania’s private healthcare market in the next five years.
