Israeli tour operator Meshek Wings has failed to reach an agreement with the state-owned airline Tarom. The company has thus decided to conclude a deal with low-cost airline Blue Air.

Last year, Meshek brought 33,000 tourists in Romania, reports local Profit.ro.

The eight weekly charters commissioned by the Israeli company will be operated with Blue Air aircraft. Meshek Wings has negotiated with Tarom, but hasn’t managed to reach an agreement on conditions, although they have agreed on prices.

The Israeli company will also bring 3,000 tourists to Romania via Tarom this year, but on normal flights, not on charters.

The tour operator will also bring 2,000 tourists to Baile Felix, near Oradea, this year.

In 2015, the number of Israeli tourists visiting Romania went up by 57%, to 219,000. However, about half of these come for business or to play in local casinos.
