Huawei opens service center in former Bucharest art gallery

03 November 2017

Chinese IT producer Huawei took over the Orizont galleries shop in downtown Bucharest, which used to host an art gallery, to open its first Customer Service Center in Bucharest, reports local Profit.ro.

The Orizont galleries shop opened in the ‘60s. It was one of the most famous and old art galleries in Romania’s capital. A small exhibition area will remain near the Huawei center.

In the newly-opened space, Huawei will provide repair services to customers within one hour at no extra cost if the phone is under warranty, as well as other support services.

In September, Huawei surpassed Apple and became the world's second-largest smartphone manufacturer. Huawei entered the Romanian market in 2003. It mainly focuses on the trade of electronic and telecommunication components and equipment.

In Romania, the company had a turnover of RON 1.2 billion (EUR 261 million) last year. Its net profit amounted to RON 36.7 million (EUR 8 million).
