Eurostat: Romania registers highest growth in construction work in September

Romania recorded the most important advance in construction work among the EU member states in September, compared to August, according to data provided by EU’s statistics office Eurostat.

Among the member states, construction work had the most significant advance in Romania (7.9%), Czech Republic (2.7%) and Bulgaria (2.4%), while the largest decreases were reported in Slovenia (-8.6%), Italy (-5.4%) and Sweden (-3.2%).

Construction work decreased by 0.4% in the EU and 1.7% in the euro area in September 2014 compared to the same period in 2013.
