Embassies Festival returns to Bucharest at the end of August

The second edition of Embassies Festival will take place in three different locations in Bucharest between August 29 and September 4.

More than 50 embassies, cultural institutions, and international organizations are to take part in the event, including the embassies of South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Armenia, Estonia, India, Italy, Japan, Syria, Russia, Spain, Turkey, and Vietnam.

The festival’s program will include a series of events and artistic moments that will turn the Romanian capital into a destination of creativity. There will be concerts, live performances, traditional dances, ethnographic exhibitions, exhibitions of handicrafts and costumes, movie screenings, workshops, and conferences. The events will take place in Universitatii Square, the National Theater, and the New Cinema of the Romanian Director within the Peasant Museum.

The first edition of the Embassies Festival took place in Bucharest in early-September 2015. The event attracted more than 50,000 spectators.
