31 March 2015

The Coresi Shopping Resort in Brasov, the first mall opened in Romania this year, registered 200,000 visitors in the opening weekend (March 27-29), higher than the expected traffic of 120,000 people.

The shops in the mall welcomed their visitors with discounts of up to 70%. Immochan, the shopping mall’s developer, also organised other events for the visitors, such as a raffle with prizes, music and dance shows and fireworks.

Immochan, the real estate subsidiary of the French retailer Auchan, has developed this project with a EUR 60 million investment. The shopping mall is located in Brasov, Central Romania, on the site of the former Tractorul factory.

At the end of 2014, Immochan Romania opened another shopping center in Drumul Taberei area, in Bucharest.

The two projects together required EUR 120 million investments.
