Romania does not plan to expel Russian citizens in the next period, prime minister Nicolae Ciuca said on April 4, G4media.ro reported.

The statement came on the day Germany announced the expulsion of 40 Russian diplomats, and France the expulsion of 30 Russian diplomats in response to the atrocities in Bucha.

The Romanian prime minister was asked by a journalist if there were any Russian citizens in Romania who would be expelled, as several European countries have done.

"From the information we have so far, we do not have such people," Ciuca replied. The journalist then asked if there was a possibility that diplomats working in Romania could be expelled in the next period. "Please allow us to analyze, and depending on the concrete situation, we will make decisions, and we will announce them," the PM answered.
