The 11 shopping malls in Bucharest have a total of 1,738 stores and 16,550 parking places, according to a calculation made by Capital based on data from DTZ.

Although Sun Plaza mall is the shopping center with the largest sales area in Bucharest and in the country (82,000 sqm), it ranks third when it comes to the number of available stores. Baneasa Shopping City and AFI Palace Cotroceni both come first with 250 units each, while Unirea Shopping Center is at number 2 with 200 stores.

AFI Palace Cotroceni also has the largest number of parking places – 2,500, followed by Baneasa Shopping City, Sun Plaza and Plaza Romania – 2,000 parking spaces each.
