From the 734,000 companies registered in Romania, 180,000 have zero turnover and the National Agency for Fiscal Administration “should get rid of them,” according to Cristian Parvan, general secretary of the Association of Businessmen in Romania.

“Out of 734,000 companies, 454,000 have a turnover above zero and 180,000 have zero turnover. I would expect the Ministry of Finance and ANAF, to get rid of them. What kind of company is this, with zero turnover? No one is interested in cleaning up. Out of the 454,000 active companies, 380,000 have a turnover under RON 1 million, and 1,200 companies make over 50% of the turnover in Romania. These are the problems that we try to combat, and to have a dialogue with the authorities,” concluded Parvan, cited by local Agerpres.
