World Class doubles up space in Plaza Romania shopping mall

17 December 2013

Wellness and gym operator World Class has doubled the space it leases within the Plaza Romania shopping mall in Bucharest, reaching a total area of 2,000 sqm. World Class will bring new equipment to its Plaza Mall gym, including the combined fitness system Synergy 360 and Bulgarian bags, among others.

The decision to expand the space in the mall, managed by Turkish Anchor Group, came in response to the high demand of wellness services, as many Romanians prefer to have their gym and wellness space as close as possible to their home. “Demand and the area's potential were the main reasons we chose to expand in Plaza Romania,” said Gabriel Vasilescu Hnyatek, Country Manager World Class.

World Class runs seven fitness and wellness clubs in Bucharest, one in Cluj – Napoca, and one in Timisoara. In Bucharest, two clubs are in hotels – JW Marriot and Radisson Blu, one in an office building – America House, two in shopping malls – Plaza Romania and Jolieville, and two in residential compounds – Upground and InCity. The latter was built by Anchor Group, the same company which owns the Plaza Romania mall, along with the Bucuresti Mall shopping center.
