Weak results for Romania at Winter Olympic Games in Sochi

Romania's best ranking at the recently finalized Winter Olympic Games in Sochi was number 17 at the bob sleight race. The country ended most of the Olympic's competitions with weak results. The worst was the 68th position at the individual ski competition.

Better rankings - 21st to 29th were recorded in team ski, biathlon, alpine skiing, figure skating, bob sleight for men, skeleton, and sleigh.

Romania had a team of 24 athletes competing at the Winter Olympic Games, which took place in Russia's Sochi between February 7 and 23.

Host country Russia came out winner after the Olympic games, with 33 medals in total, out o which 13 gold, while Norway came second, with 26 medals, 11 of them gold ones. Canada came third, with 25 medals, 10 of which gold.
